While looking into a Celica Supra, I found this old review by Car and Driver which compared all the best import cars in 1984. The list of cars included is pretty amazing actually:
- Audi Quattro
- Ferrari 308
- Honda Prelude
- Lotus Espirit Turbo
- Porsche 911 Carrera
- Porsche 928s
- Porsche 944
- Toyota Celica Supra
Oddly, the photos show a Mercedes-Benz 190E as well, but it doesn’t appear to have actually been compared to the others.
Very surprisingly, the Porsche 944 won with the Honda Prelude in second place.
